The Luzhniki stadium in Moscow was set ablaze when the two giants in english soccer Manchester came face to face with Chelsea in the uefa champs league final for the first time ever.
It was really joy for united when Nicholas Anelka played his penalty straight into the hands of Edwin van der saar.The final really lived up to expectation as the winner was decided by the penalty shootout.after 90 minutes of play,it was chelsea 1-1 United and after an extra 30 minutes of play in the extra time,none of the teams scored a goal.
Drogba was sent off in the 116th minute after slapping Nemanja Vidic in the face.But that was not enough for united to win the game until the referee blew his whistle to end proceedings.and in the penalty shootout,united scored 6 against chelsea's 5 and that was how united became europian champs for the 3rd time.
Im really happy as a united fan and all credit to SIR ALEX FERGUSON.
